UNC to battle young Rutgers

North Carolina will end a seven-day layoff for the Christmas holiday today when Rutgers visits Chapel Hill for a game in the Smith Center. North Carolina hasn't played since Dec. 20 when it beat Valparaiso in Chicago. Coach said he welcomed the break because it allowed injured players to rest and heal with the ACC season opener eight days away. (Winston-Salem Journal)
