WVU nips Heels in wild Meineke Bowl

Hakeem Nicks caught three touchdowns and racked up more than 200 yards but it wasn't enough to end UNC's season — and perhaps his college career — with a bowl win. West Virginia quarterback Pat White threw for 334 yards and three touchdowns to out-duel Nicks and give the Mountaineers a 31-30 win in the Meineke Bowl in Charlotte. Nicks, a Charlotte native, caught all three of his touchdowns in the first half as UNC built a 23-21 lead. (Raleigh News & Observer)
