Hubert Davis hopes exhibition gave UNC early lesson on importance of defense, rebounding

It took UNC 11 games last season to figure out that defense and rebounding were catalysts for success. Hubert Davis hopes that message will come quicker after the choppy beginning of the No. 9 Tar Heels’ exhibition win Sunday over Johnson C. Smith. It was a 127-63 blowout, but only after the team fully engaged on those two crucial elements.
