Hakeem Nicks should turn pro
Posted Dec 29, 2008
Hakeem Nicks is North Carolina’s best receiver since Art Weiner, as his play reminded fans Saturday. He is ready for the NFL, another obvious point in the loss to West Virginia. Nicks should turn pro after his three-touchdown, 217-yard performance. He’s a junior, and eligible for the NFL Draft. Another year in Chapel Hill only increases his risk of getting hurt – and teammates Brandon Tate and Mark Paschal have learned the fragile nature of football careers.
