From Dean Smith to Roy Williams and beyond: UNC, Kansas basketball share storied history

There was always a symmetry between UNC and Kansas to Roy Williams’ basketball journey. He is a native of North Carolina who learned a lot of what he has known from Dean Smith, who was born in Kansas, attended KU and played for Phog Allen.
