Step back likely for Heels in '09
Posted Dec 30, 2008
UNC will be more experienced in Butch Davis' third season but will the Tar Heels be better in 2009? The short answer is no. Given Davis' track record, that's not the logical answer. After all, Davis flipped 4-8 into 8-5 in one season and 17 starters are expected to return. It's the one that won't that could leave UNC struggling to get back to a bowl next season. Hakeem Nicks doesn't have the speed of a first-round pick, but the junior receiver has everything else, including a big future in the NFL.
