Erin Matson is the lowest paid head coach on the North Carolina campus. Her field hockey team follows up Matson’s first undefeated regular season as the No. 1 seed in the NCAA tourney against Delaware Friday in the stadium named for Karen Shelton. If Matson goes two for two after winning ACC Coach of the Year, surely she deserves a raise.
