North Carolina Hits the Gas, Races Past American, 107-55

UNC didn't get stuck in a slog against one of the slowest teams in college basketball on Friday. The 10th-ranked Tar Heels ran past American 107-55 at the Smith Center, separating during the second half and accelerating to a blowout victory. Jalen Washington delivered a career-best 18 points and Elliot Cadeau supplied 18 points and eight assists.
