Carolina ranks 9th in U.S. for study abroad participation

The University of North Carolina ranked ninth among U.S. universities for study abroad participation, according to the Open Doors 2024 Report on International Educational Exchange, released Nov. 18. This is the University’s highest ranking in nearly 20 years. Last year, UNC ranked 13th. Carolina’s study abroad numbers have risen steadily since 2020.
