A better ACC this season

Despite North Carolina's surprising home loss to Boston College on Sunday, the ACC has a near stranglehold on the top of The Associated Press' rankings as conference play gets into full swing this weekend with six league games. The Tar Heels relinquished the No. 1 spot to Pittsburgh, but they slipped only to No. 3. Duke is No. 2 and Wake Forest is No. 4 in poll standings that ACC commissioner could only dream of attaining in football. (Raleigh News & Observer)
