New Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson possesses strong ties to North Carolina

A longtime NFL assistant coach with connections to the state of North Carolina is set to be the new leader of the Chicago Bears. Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson agreed to become the next Bears’ head coach. The 38-year-old coach is a former walk-on quarterback for the North Carolina football team, suiting up for the Tar Heels from 2004-2007.
