Two Football Players Opt to Graduate
Posted Jan 13, 2009
Tar Heel football players Richie Rich and Kenton Thornton will graduate this spring, instead of using their fifth year of eligibility in 2009. A UNC official confirmed the report on Monday. Richie Rich arrived at UNC as a running back and was moved to cornerback in 2007. He recorded nine tackles as a defensive back and on special teams in 2008. Kenton Thornton, a wide receiver, concludes his UNC career with nine receptions, including one during the 2008 season.
