ACC Basketball Report Card: Jan. 13
Posted Jan 13, 2009
It is clear this Carolina team needs to change the way it plays defense, as tough man-to-man schemes guarding their opponents 30 feet from the basket with no intent on switching isn’t going to cut it anymore. Roy Williams needs to show some courage by recognizing his way isn’t working and start switching and also throwing in some zone looks. A little help-side through switching against Jeff Teague could have changed Sunday’s outcome. Grade: D.
