Baseball Notebook: UNC Opens Season with Sweep of Texas Tech

Opening weekend has come and gone, and UNC walked away with a sweep of Texas Tech to begin the 2025 season. The Tar Heels' first opening weekend sweep of a Power Five conference team since 2017 was accomplished by way of 5-1 and 8-3 scores in Friday's doubleheader, and 4-2 on Saturday. Jason DeCaro set the tone for the weekend.
