Heels End ACC Slide
Posted Jan 16, 2009
After spending its first two ACC contests on its heels, No. 5 North Carolina returned to its old aggressive ways in a 83-61 dismantling of Virginia on Thursday night. Tyler Hansbrough led the charge, connecting on a season-high 15 free throws in route to a 28-point, 12-rebound performance. “Well, needless to say, this feels better than it did in Winston-Salem the other day,” UNC head coach Roy Williams told reporters during his postgame press conference.
