Lachlan McNeil's runner-up finish led six UNC wrestlers earning NCAA automatic qualification, at the 2025 ACC Championship on Sunday. In addition to McNeil (149), Ethan Oakley (133), Sonny Santiago (157), Joshua Ogunsanya (174), Gavin Kane (184), and Nolan Neves (285) earned automatic bids to the NCAA Wrestling Championships in Philadelphia.
