Wayne Ellington sparks Tar Heels

put an emphatic end to his shooting slump last night. Ellington, who took just two shots and didn't score in the first half, made amends. He hit seven 3-pointers in the opening 12:34 of the second half and led fifth-ranked North Carolina to an 82-65 victory over Miami. Ellington, a junior guard from Wynnewood, Pa., had a career-high with his seven 3-pointers and he finished with 23 points as the Tar Heels improved to 16-2 overall and 2-2 in the ACC.
