Florida State's head coaches across all sports were gathered in the Moore Athletic Center for their monthly meeting in the spring of 2002. Bobby Bowden was there. Mike Martin, too. Director of Athletics Dave Hart entered the room and introduced the program's new men's basketball coach who stood alongside him. Leonard Hamilton.
