Tar Heels land defensive back Gene Robinson

UNC picked up verbal commitments from in-state offensive lineman and Memphis defensive back after both completed their official on-campus visits last weekend. Robinson selected UNC over offers from Alabama, Colorado, Kentucky, Memphis, Mississippi, Southern Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. The 5-10, 165-pounder earned all-state 5-A honors as a senior after making 70 tackles, three interceptions and blocking five kicks. (Fayetteville Observer)
