Defensive coordinator Steve Belichick tops UNC Football assistants in salary

UNC will pay its offensive and defensive coordinators more than $1.1 million in coach Bill Belichick's first season in Chapel Hill. Defensive coordinator Steve Belichick will make $1.3 million, and offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens will make $1.15 million. Coordinators combined to make $2.1 million last year.
