A Jersey ‘dream’: Averbuch drafted by Sky Blue FC

When Yael Averbuch returned to her Montclair home Friday after receiving the NCAA’s most prestigious student-athlete award, she learned -- gladly -- she would be staying home. Sky Blue Football Club, the NewYork/New Jersey team that will be one of seven squads to play in the inaugural season of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS), selected Averbuch, 22, No. 4 overall in the league’s college draft.
