Some North Carolina fans might wonder what could have been had quarterback T.J. Yates not been injured in the third quarter of the Tar Heels’ game against Virginia Tech in late September. Carolina held the lead and appeared to be in control, but eventually lost the game. And while reserve Cam Sexton played well for most of his time under center, he wasn’t Yates. In fact, Yates wasn’t Yates even when he returned in November.
