ACC expected to shrink basketball schedule to boost NCAA Tournament profile


The ACC is considering reducing its conference basketball schedule so teams can schedule more marquee nonconference games in hopes of of landing more teams in the NCAA Tournament. Commissioner Jim Phillips, ACC athletics directors, and ESPN have been in discussions to move from 20 conference games to 18 starting with the 2025-26 season. (CBS Sports)
