The 1982 national champion Tar Heels were one of UNC's best basketball teams ever. James Worthy was named to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Sam Perkins was a three-time first-team All-America who played 17 seasons in the NBA. And everyone knows what Michael Jordan accomplished. All three were on the ACC’s 50th Anniversary team.
