Jack Cobb was the 1926 National Player of the Year, three-time All-America in 1924, 1925, and 1926, three-time All-Southern Conference in 1924, 1925, and 1926, recipient of the Patterson Medal in 1927, in the Helms Foundation Hall of Fame, and has his Jersey retired by UNC. Cobb averaged 15 points per game when the Tar Heels averaged 35.
