Stony Brook first baseman Erik Paulsen transferring to UNC baseball


On Friday, UNC earned a commitment from sophomore first baseman Erik Paulsen. The New York native spent his first two collegiate seasons at Stony Brook. After hitting .299 as a freshman, the 6-foot-3, 217-pound first baseman turned it up a notch in his sophomore season. Paulsen hit .358, clubbing 9 home runs while driving in 44 runs.
