Back On Top: Healed Heels Win Program’s Fourth NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship


In 2024, an injury-riddle Carolina limped to its worst finish in two decades. In 2025, a healthy and youth-infused Tar Heel squad dominated its way to a national championship via a 12-8 win over Northwestern in front of a record crowd of 14,423 in Gillette Stadium. Jenny Levy’s squad went 22-0, winning each game by an average margin of 10.6 goals. (Inside Lacrosse)
