And just like that, Marcus Allen is one of the old heads in North Carolina’s defensive backfield. It seems like just a few weeks ago he was making his first start as a true freshman for the Tar Heels in the ACC Championship Game against Clemson. Since then, Allen has turned into a consistently reliable cover corner and is getting better at stopping the run. (Tar Heel Illustrated)
