Killer Instinct Eludes Diamond Heels In Final Super Regional Defeat

The Tar Heels held an 8-6 lead in the seventh inning against Arizona on Saturday and a 3-1 lead in the eighth inning on Sunday. Both games ended in defeat (10-8, 4-3) and a sudden end to the 2025 UNC baseball season. Saturday, Carolina allowed a season-high in runs and hits, five free passes, six two-out RBIs, while stranding too many men on base. (Inside Carolina)
