UNC Alumnus Killed in Minnesota Assassination

Mark Hortman, the husband of slain Minnesota lawmaker Melissa Hortman, was killed alongside his wife in a targeted attack at their home Saturday. Mark Hortman, a Raleigh native who graduated from Millbrook High School in 1984, earned a bachelor’s degree in physics with a minor in computer science at the University of North Carolina in 1989.
