Chapel Hill businesses thrive as Mexico vs. Türkiye soccer game brings thousands to town

More than 25,000 fans gathered in Chapel Hill to watch Mexico’s and Türkiye’s national men’s soccer teams at Kenan Stadium. Vincenzo Marrone, the co-owner of Italian Pizzeria III, said the day was pretty busy for the summertime with many game attendees coming in. He said IP3 was happy to make about 70 pizzas for an order from Türkiye's team.
