UNC Announces AD Transition; Steve Newmark Named Bubba Cunningham's Successor in 2026

In a move designed to help North Carolina adjust to the modern college sports model, the university announced on Tuesday that longtime Roush Fenway Keselowski (RFK) Racing President Steve Newmark has been hired as executive associate athletic director for the 2025-26 fiscal year and will move into UNC’s director of athletics role next summer.
