Kane Kepley — "the definition of an old-school baseball player," as UNC coach Scott Forbes called him in high regard — kept coming from the leadoff spot during his one-season with UNC. And that hard-charging, self-made style became rewarded again on Sunday night, when the Chicago Cubs made him a second-round choice in the 2025 MLB Draft.
