'Vibrant community hub': Franklin Street welcomes new restaurants, cuisines

From a tapas bar to a smoothie cafe, Franklin Street has seen several new additions to its dining landscape over the last year. Próximo is a Spanish tapas bar that opened in September 2024, bringing the cooking of Hawthorne & Wood and Bluebird chef Brandon Sharp to 173 E. Franklin St. The restaurant incorporates fresh ingredients into its seasonal menu.
