Tar Heels lead England to UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 title

On Sunday, England defeated Spain in a penalty shootout to take home the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 title. On England’s roster for the tournament were Lucy Bronze, Alessia Russo, and Lotte Wubben-Moy, coached by manager Sarina Wiegman. All four spent time in Chapel Hill playing for UNC before making it at the professional level across the pond.
