UNC, State players both wrong
Posted Feb 1, 2009
Mike Copeland said that he shouldn't have reacted angrily yesterday and confronted Ben McCauley of N.C. State after a hard foul late in the game. The incident happened with 1.9 seconds left in UNC's 93-76 win. A hard foul by McCauley knocked Copeland off balance and to the floor. Copeland said that McCauley's arm struck him in the head during the play. Copeland got up and charged at McCauley but the game officials quickly separated the players "I definitely regret doing it," Copeland said.
