UNC Special Teams Coordinator Mike Priefer Joins Bill Belichick's Staff With Like-Minded Approach

Looking at the Bell tower makes Mike Priefer remember spending Saturdays in his youth selling programs at UNC football games. His father, Chuck, spent six seasons at Carolina as an assistant coach from 1978-83. Priefer joined Bill Belichick’s staff in January as a special teams coordinator, seeking to make the Tar Heels competitive in that third phase.
