UNC Rout Ends With Fireworks
Posted Feb 1, 2009
Tyler Hansbrough terrorized the N.C. State frontcourt, scoring 31 points in leading North Carolina to a 93-76 victory. The Wolfpack allowed 46 points in the paint, and Ben McCauley was determined to make sure Mike Copeland didn’t add to that total in the closing seconds. With the Tar Heels holding a 91-76 lead, Bobby Frasor found a streaking Copeland for a dunk that never was. McCauley hammered the senior and Copeland jumped up in retaliation, pushing the Wolfpack forward.
