Leslie McDonald Scores 24: "He's on another level"
Posted Feb 1, 2009
Liberty's 3-point shooting kept the Crusaders in the game against Memphis' Briarcrest all night. especially in the second half. But it wasn't enough against the much bigger team that featured two NCAA Division I signees
Leslie McDonald, a 6-foot-5 North Carolina signee, led the Saints with 24 points, including several easy layups in the second quarter on backdoor cuts. Liberty was outscored 20-8 in the second quarter and trailed by 13 at halftime.
"He's on another level," Dexter Williams said. "He made tough shots. We did a good job of getting hands up, for the most part. The kid's going to North Carolina, you expect him to make shots like that."
