Michael Carter, Chazz Surratt among Tar Heels cut Tuesday; Asim Richards traded

Thirteen former UNC Football players — including running back Michael Carter, linebacker Chazz Surratt, and eight rookies — were released Tuesday as NFL teams trimmed their rosters to 53. It’s possible other teams could sign those players, or they could be re-signed to the practice squad. The cuts leave 20 former Tar Heel players on NFL rosters. (Tar Heel Tribune)
