Quarterback Gio Lopez's journey to North Carolina: 'The opportunity was enough'


The plan wasn’t always clear for sophomore quarterback . Growing up, the transfer from South Alabama's first love was baseball. And although that changed to a passion for the gridiron, he didn’t gravitate to the signal caller position. Starting out, Lopez didn’t even want to play offense.
