Lee Roberts’ Long Game At UNC

Lee Roberts, who served as UNC's interim chancellor before being named to the post permanently last August, wants to make the country’s oldest public university No. 1 in the nation. He wants to take a business executive’s approach, expanding the school’s real estate footprint, adding more students, and leaning into sports to raise UNC’s national profile.
