Goals from Ryleigh Heck and her sister Kara helped No. 2 UNC Field Hockey beat No. 7 Michigan in the 2025 season opener in Iowa City, IA on Friday (Highlights). The game was the first of a weekend doubleheader as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge. Ryleigh Heck, the 2023 national player of the year, opened the scoring midway through the first quarter.
