Q&A with John Preyer of UNC's Board of Trustees

John Preyer graduated from Carolina with a political science degree in 1990 and became a member of the Board of Trustees in 2019. He completed a two-year term as chairman last month. What follows is an edited transcript of a sit-down interview exploring Preyer’s tenure as chairman and his controversial involvement in the hiring of Bill Belichick.
