Bench production still lacking for Heels

North Carolina coach Roy Williams said he laughed last fall when he was asked whether he had too many players. “I said I was worried that we wouldn’t have enough,’’ he said. Indeed, for all the preseason hype about depth, UNC’s bench continues to have trouble scoring, averaging only 11.2 points in seven conference games. Injuries to last year’s starting small forward, Marcus Ginyard, and freshman forward Tyler Zeller have hurt.
