Entering Monday, it felt like there were two ways for UNC’s Labor Day opener to play out: either Bill Belichick’s NFL credentials were going to translate emphatically in his college debut, or the challenge of fielding a new team with a new coaching staff against a nine-win TCU squad would be too much to overcome. The latter proved true, and then some.
