There’s a reason Dean Smith would not play non-conference in-state schools. Smith’s opinion reportedly was that if you win, you did what you were supposed to, and if you lose, it’s a massive upset. UNC football faced a similar situation against Charlotte on Saturday, but with the added pressure of trying to move past an embarrassing Week 1 loss. (Tar Heel Tribune)
