Explaining the College Football Playoff's new strength of schedule metric


The CFP announced that it will use an "enhanced" tool to further emphasize strength of schedule in its selection process. The new metric -- titled record strength -- will give further credit to how a team performs against its schedule. It will give extra credit for beating quality teams, while lessening the penalty for losses against tougher opponents. (CBS Sports)
