UNC-Maryland Postgame Notes
Posted Feb 4, 2009
Carolina has won 20 games for the 51st time in 99 seasons, the fifth time in the last six years under Coach Williams and the 36th time in the last 39 years. This is the 19th time in Roy Williams's 21 years as a head coach that his teams have won 20 plus games. Carolina hit 16 three-pointers, which equals the second-most in a game in school history (17 vs. Florida State on Jan. 17, 1995, and 16 vs. North Carolina A&T on Dec. 27, 2001).
