Three Tar Heels Wrap Up Time At Track & Field World Championships


The sensational 2025 track season for UNC grad Ethan Strand came to a close two spots short of advancing to the finals of the men's 1,500m at the World Championships in Tokyo, Japan. Obi Amaechi represented Nigeria in the women's discus, finishing 16th. The newest Tar Heel, Vera Sjöberg, finished seventh in the first heat of the women's 1,500m. (GoHeels.com)
